Sometimes my son speaks the truth, like this morning as we were walking to the bus stop, at 7:19am.

“Mum, you never get any rest.”

    I want to know how you responded! I don't know if I would laugh hysterically or say, “Eh, I'll sleep when I'm dead, kid.”

    I was speechless for a bit (hard to believe, I know), but I did eventually ask what made him say that. I think he finally circled around to my being grumpy when I don't sleep. Then I felt guilty for letting that show and/or be an excuse.
